Terms of Use

Plain-language terms for using YouCanCalc. The essentials: the tools are free, the outputs are estimates, and you own your assumptions.

Last updated: January 2026.

1. The service

YouCanCalc provides free, browser-based calculators and related educational content. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, simply don't use the site — there's nothing to cancel, because there are no accounts.

2. Estimates, not advice

Every calculator output is an estimate for planning purposes only, based entirely on the inputs and assumptions you provide. Results are not financial, tax, legal or business advice, and are not a quote, offer or guarantee of any outcome. Suggested defaults are starting points, not industry rules. You are responsible for adapting assumptions to your situation and for any decisions you make based on the results.

3. Provided "as is"

The site and its calculators are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard to keep the math correct, but we don't warrant that any result will be error-free.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YouCanCalc and its builders are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages — including lost profits or business decisions — arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site.

5. Fair use & intellectual property

You may use, link to and share the site freely. The site's design, content and code are the property of YouCanCalc. You may not misrepresent the site's outputs as professional advice or reproduce the site in a way that suggests endorsement.

6. Changes

These terms may be updated as the product evolves; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.
